NBA/Kevin Durant joins Houston Rockets in blockbuster trade

Kevin Durant is heading to the Houston Rockets in a massive multi-player trade with the Phoenix Suns, according to U.S. reports. The deal, set to finalize in July, will send Rockets guard Jalen Green, forward Dillon Brooks, the No. 10 draft pick, and five future second-round selections to Phoenix.

Durant, 36, expressed excitement about joining Houston, praising the team’s leadership and recent success. “I felt like I’d be a good addition,” said the 2014 MVP, who averaged 26.6 points last season.

The Rockets, who reached the playoffs under coach Ime Udoka, reunite Durant with his former Nets and Team USA mentor. Phoenix, meanwhile, gains young talent after a disappointing 11th-place finish in the West.

A 14-time All-Star and four-time Olympic gold medalist, Durant ranks seventh on the NBA’s all-time scoring list. His arrival in Houston signals a win-now push for a franchise eyeing deeper postseason runs.
