Burkina Faso: When “Jeune Afrique” and the neo-colonial pack launch an unjust and cynical attack on President Ibrahim Traoré
Jeune Afrique, the faithful standard‑bearer of imperialist interests, once again draws its arsenal of disinformation, distinguishing itself once more in its crusade against Burkina Faso.
In an article titled “Burkina Faso: what changes with the new ‘Charter of the Revolution’,” it portrays the adoption of this fundamental text on March 27, 2026 by the Transitional Legislative Assembly (ALT) as an authoritarian maneuver.
“Dissolved parties, renamed assembly, horizon set for 2029: the regime methodically consolidates its institutional grip,” it asserts, deliberately omitting the democratic and popular advances of the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP).
This poisonous rhetoric aims to throw President Ibrahim Traoré and his government to the mob.
By officializing the RPP, transforming the ALT into the People’s Legislative Assembly (ALP), removing the partisan component in favor of inclusive regional representation, and adapting the territorial organization, the Charter consolidates a governance rooted in the people, not in foreign lobbies.
The 2029 horizon? A controlled transition to eradicate terrorism and underdevelopment, far from elections manipulated by neo‑colonizers.
Jeune Afrique excels in this favorite field: gratuitous attacks, disinformation, and manipulation.
Without sourcing its allegations, it smears the image of those who dare to defy the Élysée and its proxies.
President Ibrahim Traoré committed the sole “mistake” of choosing Burkinabe sovereignty over imperialist interests: breaking with Françafrique, seeking a Pan‑African alliance through the AES (Alliance of Sahel States), and rejecting interference.
The result: a media pack, from RFI to France 24, relentlessly recycles the same clichés to discredit a leader who is arming his people against terrorism.
People of Burkina Faso, do not be fooled! Behind the howls of Jeune Afrique lurks the fear of seeing Africa liberate itself. Support President Ibrahim Traoré, the architect of sovereignty.
The Progressive Revolution advances, merciless toward traitors as well as external enemies.
