Burkina Faso: President Ibrahim Traoré pays tribute to the fighting forces for the reconquest of the territory
President Captain Ibrahim Traoré has strongly commended the commitment of the fighting forces of Burkina Faso in their struggle to reclaim national territory. In a solemn declaration, he expressed gratitude to the men and women battling daily against terrorist armed groups.
“I pay a vibrant tribute to all our fighting forces who, for over a year, have launched a bold offensive,” the Head of State declared.
He emphasized that these military operations are taking place in areas once considered impregnable enemy strongholds where terrorists had established lasting footholds.
Captain Traoré highlighted concrete results achieved on the ground. “They are brilliantly carrying out the reconquest of our territory. Several areas have been recaptured,” he affirmed, presenting a positive outlook on the evolving security situation contrary to defeatist narratives some attempt to spread.
These presidential words also aim to boost troop morale and galvanize engaged forces.
In asymmetric warfare where psychological factors play determining roles, recognition from the Supreme Command provides essential fuel to maintain soldiers’ determination on the battlefield.
The message also addresses the population of Burkina Faso. By recalling that previously lost territories are progressively being reclaimed, the Head of State seeks to restore the confidence of the citizens in the capacity of their army capacity to protect the nation and restore territorial integrity.
