Burkina Faso: When imperialism attempts to divide and rule

The enemies of Burkina Faso, having acknowledged their failure in attempts to destabilize the country through terrorism and unsuccessful coups d’état, are now returning with an old method: manipulation. After failing to sow terror through violent attacks, they now seek to create a fictitious conflict between the ethnic and religious communities of Burkina Faso. This Machiavellian plan aims to exploit internal divisions to weaken the nation a strategy already employed in other countries like the Central African Republic and Rwanda to sow chaos and impose domination.

In reality, in Burkina Faso, all ethnic groups have lived in harmony and coexisted for centuries in a spirit of brotherhood and solidarity.

Yet this unity is now being threatened by a new strategy similar to that used by imperialism in other regions of the world, particularly in Africa; with tragic examples in the Central African Republic and Rwanda.

In those countries, external powers orchestrated ethnic and religious conflicts to exacerbate divisions, provoking massacres and genocide.

By deploying local proxies willing to sow discord, these powers succeeded in destabilizing those nations, imposing chaos to better exercise their control.

Today, Burkina Faso is their target through these same underhanded maneuvers, with the goal of destabilizing a stable and united country in order to better control its resources and its destiny.

In the face of this threat, it is essential that the Burkinabe people remain vigilant and united.

Division along ethnic or religious lines will only deepen the instability of the country.

The people of Burkina Faso must resist attempts at manipulation and preserve national unity so as not to fall into the trap set by imperialist forces.

Burkina Faso, drawing strength from its history and values, must redouble its efforts to counter these attacks on its stability and remain master of its own destiny, free from destructive foreign influences.
