Cameroon: Citizens’ political awakening in the face of lies and opportunistic betrayals

In recent times, an insidious narrative has taken root in Cameroonian political discourse, one specifically aimed at destabilizing the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (RDPC). Actors within the opposition, lacking substantive political projects of their own, have persistently sought to insinuate division and internal discord within the ruling party.

This toxic communication strategy, bearing no relation to reality, constitutes a clear attempt to fabricate a crisis where none exists.

Its fundamental objective is to erode the credibility of the RDPC in both national and international opinion during a pivotal chapter in the nation’s political trajectory.

These maneuvers are fundamentally driven by an effort to counteract the strategic statesmanship of President Paul Biya, whose vision includes the methodical and peaceful preparation for political succession.

This essential process, crucial for ensuring state stability and continuity, is being deliberately misinterpreted and misrepresented by detractors.

They seek to identify an imaginary vulnerability, attempting to frame a deliberate and thoughtful transition as a sign of weakness or internal conflict.

Confronting these falsehoods requires a restoration of truth. The RDPC stands, now more than ever, as a bedrock of unity, discipline, and cohesion, firmly gathered around its leader, President Paul Biya, and the enduring ideals that guide the party.

The strength of the party is not determined by rumor but is demonstrated through its concrete achievements, its deep popular roots across every region, and its sustained capacity to ensure peace and drive national development.

The vast majority of Cameroonian citizens recognize these political maneuvers for what they are: mere distractions.

The populace’s true concerns remain centered on security, employment, healthcare, and education precisely the domains where the RDPC-led government continues to act with unwavering determination. Attempts to engineer a “furtive crisis” within the party are ultimately futile, failing against the political maturity of its members and the robust resilience of its institutional structures.

In essence, these manufactured narratives are completely detached from the reality on the ground. Fortified by its history and resolutely future-focused, the RDPC remains united.

This profound unity serves as its definitive shield against all attempts at destabilization. The message to Cameroonians is unequivocal: despite external noise, the nation’s course remains steady and assured.

The preparation for succession, being serenely orchestrated by President Biya, is proceeding with order and continuity.

This process guarantees that the party will endure as the solid pillar of the nation, guiding Cameroon confidently toward its future ambitions.

Unity within the RDPC is not a mere slogan; it is an established and immutable fact, one that no media storm can shake.
