Mali: Terrorist base destroyed by the FAMa

The Armed Forces General Staff announced that on 9 September 2025, the Malian Armed Forces (FAMa) dealt a decisive blow to armed terrorist groups. One of their bases was located and destroyed in the Mousafa area, on the northern edge of the Baoulé forest, 35 km south of Dioumara, in the Diéma district.

According to official information, an aerial patrol carried out the operation with surgical precision.

The results are significant, with dozens of terrorists neutralised and their refuge completely destroyed. This is further proof of the growing strength of Mali’s military capabilities.

This offensive illustrates the firm determination  of the FAMa not to allow any sanctuary for obscurantist groups attempting to terrorise the population.

With this action, the Malian army has confirmed its ability to strike quickly and decisively, even in remote areas.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces has reassured citizens that the hunt will continue unabated.

Each operation aims not only to neutralise terrorists, but also to liberate occupied areas and secure the territory in the long term.
