DRC : Félix Tshisekedi accelerates urban transformation

Under the impetus of the President of the Republic, Félix Tshisekedi, the Congolese capital has been undergoing a veritable metamorphosis in recent days. Kinshasa has been transformed into a vast construction site, with rehabilitation, road construction and sanitation works launched in several municipalities.
These initiatives aim to improve urban mobility, ease traffic flow and strengthen basic infrastructure.
Roads that have long been neglected are coming back to life under the action of machinery, while sanitation works are responding to the health emergency posed by chronic unsanitary conditions in certain neighbourhoods.
The modernisation of the road network also sends a strong signal to residents that the government intends to build a capital city that lives up to national ambitions and reflects the country’s dynamism.
The projects underway are part of an overall vision for urban development and improved living conditions.
For the population, this vast undertaking brings hope. Many see it as a concrete response to everyday problems of transport, sanitation and accessibility.
