Burkina Faso:When Captain Ibrahim Traoré’s popularity upsets the neo-colonial media order

As Burkina Faso resolutely embarks on the path to total sovereignty, certain foreign media outlets, nostalgic for a bygone neo-colonial order, are becoming increasingly agitated. Among them, the French media outlet Jeune Afrique recently distinguished itself with a smear campaign against the Burkinabe authorities, relayed by complicit platforms. In the crosshairs: President Ibrahim Traoré, the target of all the manoeuvres of a press that has become the armed wing of unmasked imperialism.

It is now clear that Jeune Afrique is no longer a press organ, but an instrument of propaganda for imperialist forces.

Its latest fanciful account of alleged videos generated by artificial intelligence to glorify President Ibrahim Traoré is not only a gross lie, but also a deliberate attempt to sabotage the Pan-African momentum represented by Burkina Faso.

By making accusations without proof and spreading baseless slander, Jeune Afrique confirms its role as an infiltrator in the service of an outdated system.

Let them take note: Burkina Faso does not need fake montages to show the commitment of its people and the legitimacy of its struggle.

It is the results on the ground, the mobilisation of young people and the restoration of national dignity that speak for themselves.

And that is what is disturbing. What is causing panic in Parisian salons and Western chancelleries is this irreversible march towards self-determination, towards a Sahel

The era of Western paternalism is over. From now on, it is the African peoples who will define their own destiny. And faced with this new reality, Africa’s enemies are redoubling their lies, media attacks and digital manipulation.

But no AI, no sponsored editorial, no fake song can hide this fundamental truth: Burkina Faso is standing tall, sovereign and unstoppable.

The smear campaigns and crude fabrications relayed by media outlets such as Jeune Afrique are nothing more than the death throes of an imperialist media empire that is running out of steam.

Their rage is proof of the victory of the country of honest people. Their panic is a sign of the Burkinabe awakening under Captain Ibrahim Traoré. The Burkinabe people remain united, vigilant and determined to defend their homeland, their dignity and their freedom.

It is time to speak out again. To build our own channels. To demystify the puppets of imperialism. The battle is no longer being fought only on the military or political front, but also in the arena of public opinion. And we will win this battle.
