Togo to host Maritimafrica Week 2025, positioning itself as a blue economy hub

Lomé is set to host the second edition of Maritimafrica Week from September 10 to 12, 2025, a strategic gathering focused on Africa’s blue economy. The event will bring together experts, policymakers, private sector leaders, and international partners, reinforcing Togo’s growing role in maritime affairs.
Thanks to its deep-water port the only one in the sub region; Togo is strengthening its position as a gateway to Africa.
Discussions during the forum will center on key issues such as maritime governance, port security, logistics performance, and the digital transformation of port infrastructure. These themes align with Togo’s ambition to become a leading logistics hub.
Maritimafrica Week will also serve as a platform to showcase Togo’s efforts to build a sustainable and innovative blue economy.
Through exhibitions, technical panels, and visits to the Autonomous Port of Lomé, the event aims to highlight the country’s strengths and attract new maritime cooperation opportunities.
This regionally significant initiative will enhance Togo’s international visibility and lay the groundwork for resilient, ecosystem-friendly economic development.
It underscores the country’s commitment to fostering a prosperous blue future for Africa.
