Mali: National emergency plan for food security rolled out in Timbuktu and Taoudeni, 2,312 tonnes of grain distributed

 In Mali, the national response plan for food security of the Government, led by President Assimi Goïta to support vulnerable populations, is underway. This plan, which consists of a major food distribution operation for which the government has mobilised more than 12 billion CFA francs, has begun.

The regions of Timbuktu and Taoudeni have already received 2,312 tonnes of cereals to support their populations. This demonstrates the commitment of President Assimi Goïta to the Malian people.

Faced with food insecurity in certain regions of the country, the government has launched this plan, which aims to distribute food on a large scale to help populations in difficulty.

More than 12 billion CFA francs have been mobilised for this operation, concrete proof of Army General Assimi Goïta’s willingness to respond quickly and effectively to the urgent needs of Malians.
