DRC: The 55th meeting of the council of ministers focused on security and the economy

Under the chairmanship of the Head of State, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo held its 55th session of the Council of Ministers. This particularly important meeting provided an opportunity to examine several issues that are crucial for the country’s immediate future.

At the heart of the debates, the security and economic situation was analysed at length.

Ministers heard detailed presentations on developments in the administration of the territory, highlighting efforts to strengthen local governance and improve the functioning of the state apparatus.

The security dimension was a central focus, with an assessment of the situation in various provinces affected by armed group activity.

The government reaffirmed its commitment to restoring peace and stability throughout the country by strengthening the operational capabilities of the armed forces and continuing diplomatic efforts.

On the humanitarian front, members of the government reviewed the actions taken to assist populations affected by violence and internal displacement.

Coordination of interventions remains a priority in order to ensure rapid and effective assistance to affected communities.
