Burkina Faso: Reduction in the cost of medical examinations and medicines, a decision that brings relief and benefits the people

Amid a difficult economic context marked by inflation and security tensions, the Burkinabe government has just adopted two major measures that reflect its commitment to staying in touch with the social realities of its people: the reduction of medical examination fees and the prices of essential generic medicines. This initiative provides much-needed relief, especially for the most vulnerable segments of the population.

This decision, led by the Ministry of Health and supported by the entire transitional government, aligns with a vision of social justice and improved access to healthcare. It represents a key step toward building a more equitable health system that meets the real needs of Burkinabe citizens.
