Mali: Construction of the Sandaré-Diéma road, schools, health centers/Strategic projects worth 133 billion CFA francs to serve

Under the insightful leadership of President General Assimi Goïta, Mali reaffirms its commitment to inclusive and transformative development for the benefit of the Malian people. Following an investment of 182 billion FCFA in road infrastructure, the government has taken another major step by approving a second round of financing worth 133 billion FCFA with the International Development Association (IDA).

This decision reflects not only a strong political will but also a concrete response to the aspirations of Mali’s citizens. The new funding highlights the government’s determination to open up long-neglected areas, particularly in the Kayes region, which was recently affected by terrorist attacks.

The construction of the Sandaré–Diéma road segment, the rehabilitation of 200 kilometers of rural roads, and the modernization of schools and health centers signal a revival of distressed territories and a reinforcement of their resilience.

This ambitious project embodies President Goïta’s pragmatic strategy to build a united, inclusive, and sovereign Mali, where every region fully benefits from national development. It aligns with a broader vision of social justice, sustainable security, territorial connectivity, and improved living conditions for all.
