Mali deepens Government-Private sector collaboration to boost economic recovery

Mali’s transitional government held its seventh monthly consultation session with private sector leaders this Monday, demonstrating growing cooperation between state and business actors in addressing the country’s economic challenges.
Chaired by Prime Minister General Abdoulaye Maïga, the high-level meeting assessed ongoing reforms and developed joint strategies to improve citizens’ living conditions.
The discussions centered on implementing concrete socio-economic development projects and reviewing progress of structural reforms initiated by transitional authorities.
Prime Minister Maïga praised the business community’s active participation, recognizing their crucial role in revitalizing Mali’s economy despite persistent security concerns.
“In these challenging times, we must demonstrate collective resilience and continue working together for our people’s welfare,” he stated.
This regular dialogue platform, established to foster mutual understanding and collaborative problem-solving, has begun producing measurable results.
The government emphasized its commitment to maintaining this partnership as a key mechanism for stimulating growth and improving public welfare.
The meeting reflects Mali’s broader strategy of combining security stabilization with economic recovery efforts during its transitional period.
By institutionalizing these consultations, authorities aim to create sustainable frameworks for public-private cooperation that can outlast the current transition.
