Foot/Mercato: Tottenham hotspur target West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus in striker search

Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on West Ham United’s Mohammed Kudus as they intensify their hunt for attacking reinforcements this summer, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The Ghanaian international, who joined the Hammers from Ajax last season, has emerged as a prime target after Spurs faced setbacks in pursuits of Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo and Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo.
Romano reports that Tottenham have already made initial contact with Kudus’ representatives to gauge his availability and ambitions.
The 23-year-old forward, who netted 8 Premier League goals in his debut English campaign, is understood to be attracted by the prospect of European football – with West Ham having qualified for the Europa League after their Conference League triumph.
While other unnamed clubs are monitoring the situation, Kudus’ versatility as both a central striker and right winger makes him particularly appealing to Ange Postecoglou’s side.
West Ham are expected to demand a significant fee for their £38m signing, but Tottenham view him as a more attainable target than alternatives like Mbeumo, who reportedly favors a move to Manchester United.
The potential transfer could develop quickly, with Spurs keen to bolster their attack ahead of preseason preparations.
Kudus’ explosive pace and technical quality would add a new dimension to Tottenham’s frontline as they aim to improve on last season’s fifth-place finish.
