AS Monaco eyes Manchester United’s André Onana for Champions League campaign

According to Sky Sports Italia, AS Monaco has set its sights on Cameroonian goalkeeper André Onana as the club prepares for its return to the UEFA Champions League next season. The 28-year-old, who endured a turbulent debut campaign with Manchester United, could bring much-needed experience to the Principality side.

Onana, still under contract with United until 2028, faces an uncertain future after a season marked by high-profile errors and collective struggles at Old Trafford.

Monaco, seeking a reliable presence between the posts, views him as a potential leader for their European ambitions.

While the Red Devils have not indicated a willingness to sell, the player’s openness to a fresh challenge remains unclear.

Should negotiations advance, the deal would hinge on United’s valuation and Monaco’s ability to meet financial demands.

This move could offer Onana a chance to revive his career in a less pressurized environment, while Monaco gains a proven shot-stopper with elite-level pedigree. More updates expected as the transfer window progresses.
