Press release by the Pan-African Media League concerning Human Rights Watch’s silence on the crisis in the Middle East

For decades, Human Rights Watch (HRW) has positioned itself as the impartial guardian of human rights across the globe. Yet its thundering silence regarding recent Israeli and Iranian airstrikes that killed hundreds of civilians reveals an uncomfortable truth: HRW does not defend universal human rights it advances selective geopolitical agendas.
This same organization, conspicuously quiet about Middle Eastern tragedies, suddenly finds its voice when reporting on African affairs particularly concerning the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) nations of Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger.
