Burkina Faso advances national development with Key government decisions

Under the leadership of President Captain Ibrahim Traoré, Burkina Faso’s Council of Ministers meeting on June 18, 2025, resulted in significant policy decisions aimed at strengthening national infrastructure, agricultural production, and public order.
The government announced a major restructuring of the aviation sector through the creation of the Burkina Faso Airports Corporation.
This new entity will centralize management of the country’s airports, including the strategic Donsin facility, to improve operational efficiency and modernization efforts.
This growth stems from favorable climate conditions combined with government initiatives providing solar-powered equipment, subsidized seeds, and fertilizers to farmers.
In response to growing concerns about civic behavior, authorities established the Laabal Brigade.
Named from the Fulfuldé word meaning “integrity,” this specialized unit will focus on public education and enforcement to promote social cohesion and respect for community standards.
These measures reflect the administration’s comprehensive approach to national development, balancing infrastructure improvement, economic support for key sectors, and social stability initiatives.
The decisions demonstrate the government’s commitment to addressing both immediate challenges and long-term development goals under President Traoré’s leadership.
