DRC: Tshisekedi visits orphanage in Kolwezi, reaffirms commitment to vulnerable children

During his working visit to Lualaba Province, Democratic Republic of Congo President Félix Tshisekedi once again demonstrated his deep commitment to society’s most vulnerable. On Thursday, the Head of State paid a heartfelt visit to the Maman Denise Nyakeru orphanage in Kolwezi a facility founded by his wife, First Lady Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi.
Accompanied by the First Lady and Lualaba Governor Fifi Masuka Saini, President Tshisekedi was greeted by the orphaned children, who welcomed him with songs of gratitude.
The emotional moment highlighted the presidential couple’s active role in improving the lives of disadvantaged youth.
One young resident captured the significance of the visit, saying: “Yesterday, we were on the streets—today, we stand before our President and First Lady.”
