AES: A joint operation by the armed forces led to the neutralisation of several terrorists

In a proactive engagement, the defense and security forces of AES have recently conducted multiple operations across various fronts, resulting in the neutralization of several terrorists and the destruction of significant logistical bases in border areas.

For instance, the Malian armed forces and the defense and security forces of Burkina Faso successfully eliminated terrorists and their equipment on Sunday, April 14, 2024.

According to our sources, «the aerial assets of FAMa and Burkina Faso enabled the thwarting of the attackers’ sinister plan, as they moved in pick-up trucks loaded with fuel and other war materials. The vigilance of both forces led to their detection, followed by strikes that destroyed several vehicles and their occupants concealed under trees».

In Niger, specifically in the Lake Chad region, due to the intensified strikes by FDS in recent weeks, there has been a series of surrenders by fighters from the Boko Haram terrorist sect, whose members are being tracked.

On April 11, two terrorists, unable to endure the heightened living conditions under the new pressure from the Nigerien Armed Forces, chose to surrender to authorities in Bosso.

Last week, repentant members of this brutal sect, with its stronghold in Nigeria’s Sambisa Forest, surrendered to FDS in Baroua, Toumour, and Bosso.

Today, the ongoing hunt for these ruthless terrorists  by the AES armed forces is relentless, with continuous operational air support.

Sustaining this pressure also leads to internal rifts within the terrorist groups on their course of action, resulting in regular clashes on the islands of Lake Chad among rival factions.

According to Nigerian authorities, three major internal clashes recently occurred between terrorist groups, with two on Nigerian soil and the latest on March 27, 2024, in Chad.

This signals a potential end to the crimes of these varied terrorist groups in the Sahel region.
