Arsenal seals deal for Italian defender Riccardo Calafiori

Arsenal is set to strengthen its defense with the signing of Riccardo Calafiori (22). The Gunners have reached an agreement with Bologna for the transfer of the Italian defender, who impressed at the Euro 2024 tournament in Germany with the Nazionale.

 

According to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal and Bologna are finalizing the administrative details before making the deal official.

 

The transfer is expected to cost Arsenal €50 million.

 

Calafiori is scheduled to undergo his medical examination in the United States, where the Gunners are currently conducting their pre-season training.

 

Upon passing the medical, he will sign a five-year contract with the Gunners.

 

Calafiori will join William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, and Justin Timber, who is returning from injury, as the fourth central defender in Arsenal’s squad.
