Meeting Between Media Regulators of Togo and Burkina Faso: Commencement of Regional Cooperation

The Secretary General of the High Authority of Audiovisual and Communication (HAAC) of Togo, Simwaque Doug-Ba Piniwé, embarked on a working and friendship visit to Burkina Faso, where he met with the President of the High Council of Communication (CSC) of the country, marking the beginning of cooperation between the media regulatory bodies of the two neighboring countries.

This working visit of the Togolese media regulator to Burkina Faso is part of the regional cooperation promoted by Togolese President Faure Gnassingbé.

It aims to strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries and their media regulatory institutions.

During his visit to Ouagadougou, the Secretary of HAAC had the opportunity to exchange experiences with his counterpart from CSC, as well as with a technical team from CSC.

Discussions on media regulation practices in Burkina Faso were at the heart of the exchanges.

Additionally, the Togolese regulator had the opportunity to work with the technical directors of CSC and visit the monitoring center of the Burkinabe institution.
