CAN 2024: Cameroon limits the breakage with a draw against Guinea

The Cameroonians are added to the list of favourites who leave points on the way, after their draw on Monday, January 15 against a valiant team from Guinea (1-1), which evolved throughout the second period with one player less.

After Nigeria, Egypt, and Ghana, it is the turn of Cameroon to suffer the harsh law of the cadors at the beginning of the African Cup, after its draw against Guinea (1-1) despite a numerical superiority for a whole period, Monday in Yamoussoukro.

A draw that does business for Senegal, one of the few favourites who took his status by beating Gambia (3-0), and who takes the reins of Group C after this first day.

It was not for lack of dominance, however, for the Indomitable Lions – despite the absence of their forward and captain Vincent Aboubakar on injury – even more so after the exclusion of Syli National captain François Kamano just before half-time.

The revolt came from Franck Magri (51′) for the Cameroonians, after the opening score of Mohamed Bayo (10′) for Guinea, where the Cameroonians can feed regrets.
