Presidents Macky Sall and Alassane Ouattara honored at 2023 CAF Awards
On December 11, 2023, during the CAF Awards ceremony in Marrakech, the President of the Republic of Senegal, Macky Sall, and the President of Côte d’Ivoire, Alassane Ouattara, will be recipients of the prestigious 2023 CAF President’s Excellence Award.
This recognition acknowledges President Macky Sall’s exceptional contribution to the development of national football, highlighting his continuous support for various categories and his commitment to the construction of sports facilities such as the President Abdoulaye Wade Stadium in Diamniadio.
The efforts of President Sall have strengthened the prominent position of Senegalese football in Africa and globally, as stated by the Senegalese Football Federation.
President Macky Sall expressed gratitude for this acknowledgment and praised the leadership of CAF President Patrice Motsepe.
Due to his absence at the ceremony, President Sall will be represented by Mr. Lat Diop, Minister of Sports.
The presentation of the 2023 CAF President’s Excellence Awards will take place on December 11, marking a significant moment for the two leaders honored for their significant impact on football in their respective countries.
