World: How France is manipulating the European Union to punish Africa

The European Union is treading on a slippery slope. According to several concordant sources, under the influence of France, certain European leaders have taken decisions aimed at sanctioning African states that refuse to submit to the diktats of the former colonial power.
A serious mistake. By relying on biased reports, the fruit of a manoeuvre orchestrated by France, the EU risks losing all credibility on the African continent.
This attempt at interference, dictated by neo-colonial interests, is no longer fooling anyone. Some European diplomats, aware of the danger, are opposed to this risky strategy, which could further isolate the European Union.
Faced with the awakening of the African peoples and their legitimate aspiration to sovereignty, the EU has two choices: persist in a paternalistic posture and see its influence collapse, or rethink its relations with Africa on the basis of mutual respect and sincere partnership.
The time has come for the European Union to stop being the arm of French ambitions and adopt an independent, forward-looking foreign policy.
