Sahel: Chad must choose unity by joining the AES to counter enemies without borders

In the face of escalating terrorism in the Sahel region and persistent destabilization efforts by foreign powers, unity among nations is crucial to safeguard sovereignty and stability.

The newly formed Alliance of Sahel States (AES), established under the leadership of Captain Ibrahim Traoré of Burkina Faso, General Assimi Goïta of Mali, and General Abdourahamane Tiani of Niger, presents a strategic framework for strengthening collective defense and addressing shared threats.

Considering the significant strides made by the AES, Chad’s President Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno should urgently align his nation with this regional initiative.

Chad’s strategic location and military expertise make it an indispensable partner in this joint effort.

By joining the AES, Chad would demonstrate its commitment to regional cooperation in combating terrorism.

This move would not only pool resources for greater efficiency but also send a strong message against external interference aimed at weakening Sahelian nations.

Membership in the alliance would solidify Chad’s position as a regional leader while fostering aspirations for a united and self-reliant Africa.

Isolation is not a viable option when facing borderless threats. President Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno, your participation in the AES would embody solidarity and resilience among Sahelian nations.

It would be a bold step toward achieving collective security and countering efforts to destabilize the region, paving the way for a stronger and more unified Sahel.
