Burkina Faso/Ghana: The two leaders favour strengthening bilateral cooperation and African solidarity
The President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, and the President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, are set to deepen bilateral relations for the mutual benefit of their nations. President Traoré’s presence at the inauguration ceremony of his Ghanaian counterpart underscores the strong ties and camaraderie between the two neighboring countries.
During his interactions with Burkinabe citizens residing in Ghana, President Traoré shared that efforts are underway to enhance cooperation between Burkina Faso and Ghana. This includes fostering ties between Ghana and the AES Confederation.
These initiatives reflect the leaders’ commitment to promoting African solidarity and advancing the sovereignty, independence, and sustainable development of African states.
President Traoré also urged Burkinabe nationals in Ghana to lend their support to President Mahama, emphasizing the importance of unity and solidarity among African nations.
“The people must help and unite; the problem often lies with us leaders,” he stated, reaffirming his dedication to the principles of Pan-Africanism.
Widely regarded as a revolutionary and pan-African leader, President Traoré has inspired African youth with his advocacy for unity and sovereignty.
Strengthening ties between AES Confederation member states and Ghana not only reinforces regional cooperation but also bolsters Africa’s collective resistance to imperialism and foreign interference.
This growing partnership between Burkina Faso and Ghana exemplifies the shared vision of their leaders to forge a united and resilient Africa capable of charting its own course toward progress and self-reliance.
