Under the leadership of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, Burkina Faso’s armed forces have intensified ground and aerial operations, achieving notable victories in the fight against terrorism.
In the Boucle du Mouhoun region, terrorist bases were dismantled, several militants neutralized, and military equipment seized through the coordinated efforts of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP).
Operations in Melou and Bonza successfully targeted and eliminated armed groups, leading to significant improvements in local security.
In the northern and north-central regions, elite units such as Guépard and Fantôme executed strategic strikes that resulted in the elimination of numerous terrorists, the capture of enemy combatants, and the destruction of enemy vehicles.
Precision airstrikes further neutralized fleeing attackers in Morlaba and eliminated heavily armed groups in Oursi and Goutourou Kiri.
