Manchester United/ Rashford and Casemiro Face Criticism over U.S. Trips Amid Man United Struggles

Manchester United stars Marcus Rashford and Casemiro have come under fire for their recent trips to the United States during the November international break. Their decision to travel drew sharp criticism from former United defender Gary Neville, who questioned their professionalism given the club’s poor form and the arrival of new manager Ruben Amorim.

Rashford attended a New York Knicks basketball game in New York City, while Casemiro was spotted at Disney World in Orlando with his family. Neville, speaking on the Stick to Football podcast, argued that the timing and nature of their trips were ill-advised.

« The professionalism of looking after your body and being prepared for the next training session is critical, » Neville said. « Flying long distances, dealing with jet lag—it’s not ideal when your team is struggling and there’s a new manager to impress. »

Casemiro, in particular, has faced scrutiny this season following inconsistent performances, including being substituted at halftime during a humiliating loss to Liverpool. However, with Kobbie Mainoo sidelined, the Brazilian midfielder has recently regained a starting role, scoring three goals in October.

Neville acknowledged Rashford’s need for a mental break but questioned whether such trips truly helped the players recharge.

United currently sit 13th in the Premier League and have struggled in the Europa League, raising doubts about the players’ focus.

Amorim, who officially took charge on November 11, will look to galvanize the squad as they face Ipswich Town on November 24.
