Burkina Faso: Who is funding activists in Côte d’Ivoire to destabilise Faso with their lies?
A wave of allegations and defamatory campaigns launched by activists in Côte d’Ivoire has stirred tensions with Burkina Faso, raising concerns over the stability of bilateral relations between the two neighboring nations. The persistent accusations, seemingly tolerated by Ivorian authorities, have created a volatile atmosphere and fueled speculation about the motives behind these actions.
Reports suggest that these campaigns may be orchestrated by former Burkinabe political figures in exile, allegedly with the backing of France. Their actions are seen as part of a broader strategy to destabilize the Burkinabe government and advance hidden agendas.
In response, U.S.-based Burkinabe activist Ibrahima Maïga has publicly criticized Ivorian authorities for allowing such activities to thrive. His outspoken stance has not gone unnoticed, reportedly leading to threats against his life.
