Burkina Faso: A new attempt at destabilization, President Ibrahim Traoré reassures of control of the situation
Burkina Faso once again finds itself at the center of covert maneuvers aimed at destabilizing the ongoing transition. French neocolonialist forces, supported by their local adherents, continue to plot to disrupt the country’s stabilization process. Despite numerous attempts, all of which have failed, these foreign forces persist in their efforts to destabilize.
Recent events reveal that the planned coup d’état was orchestrated from a neighboring country, in collaboration with certain elements of that country’s intelligence services. These plots are typically devised by high-ranking officials of the ousted regime who have taken refuge in the neighboring country with the complicity of some figures within the Defense and Security Forces (FDS). Driven by personal ambitions and a longing for lost power, these individuals are willing to do anything to sabotage the ongoing transition.
President Ibrahim Traoré has expressed regret over the involvement of certain elements within the FDS in this latest destabilization attempt. Fortunately, these individuals have been arrested, demonstrating the vigilance and determination of Burkinabe authorities to protect the transition. However, these arrests should not overshadow the persistent threat posed by external forces and their local accomplices.
It is crucial for the people of Burkina Faso, in all their diversity, to stand united against any attempts at destabilization. Solidarity and national unity are key to countering neocolonialist ambitions and ensuring the country’s stability. Every citizen must feel involved and actively engage in defending the gains of the transition.
